A lot of them died or went missing too early so we couldn't identify their gender.
We don't really know what happened to the missing cats. Maybe some of them climbed out of the gate and couldn't get back so they were taken by people walking by. Some might be kidnapped by thieves since they know we have a lot of newborn cats.
We've tried many different ways to keep the kitties away from our dogs without keeping them in cages. We don't want the cats to stay in cages. When cats grow up, they climb everywhere and sometimes eat the food in the dogs' bowls. That upsets the dogs a lot.
Here's the list of the cats that we can keep records. There are several that we couldn't record. It started a long time ago with our cat (now called) Gaia. There had been cats before her.

Maybe it went missing a few weeks before 20 November 2011. Found a photo on Facebook about this cat posted on that day. It was one of my favourite. It was so beautiful and lovely. It usually slept on top of a stack of plastic chairs in the yard. Not sure if it's a child of Tethys.

That was probably why he went missing when my mother didn't notice and closed the gate or he got kidnapped when he was walking outside. I'm quite sure he wasn't a son of Tethys.
